2013 Ram 1500 Over the past couple of model years, a number of mainstream vehicles have become not just more fuel-efficient but also more sophisticated, tech-savvy, and comfortable. And don’t you think that full-size pickups are getting left behind; now for 2013, Chrysler has given its mainstream line of Ram 1500 trucks some serious upgrades.
A 20-percent improvement in fuel economy might sound staggering, but that’s what the Ram brand is anticipating for 2013 Ram 1500 models—along with a new V-6 engine, a new eight-speed automatic transmission, a new air suspension, and a more carlike interior, with Chrysler’s latest Uconnect Touch interface and much-improved materials and trims. And all of these improvements come with towing and hauling ability as strong as ever.
Chrysler calls the Ram 1500 “the most recognizable pickup on the road,” and we fully agree. Over the years, its scaled-down big-rig look makes it easy to spot from a distance. All that said, on the outside there’s not all that much to distinguish the 2013 model from the 2012—unless you’re already a Ram or Dodge fan. Designers have made the front grille slightly taller, and added a new upper fascia panel, while the Ram crosshair grille is now flush. New vertically oriented foglamps have been added, while 4WD models get larger openings for the tow hooks.
Headlamps also get a new design, with a twin-beam projector design plus LEDs now used in the running lamps, turn signals, side-marker lamps, and tail lamps. Polished stainless steel running boards have been added down below, and a new 6′-4” bed option is offered in Crew Cab models. And there are five new exterior hues, including some two-tone themes.
It’s powerful, it’s unique, and it has vaulted itself atop the most wanted list. It’s the Ram, and it commands respect all over the road. A Dodge Ram Grill firmly empowers your front-end to stylish new heights. And finding your true match is a fun but important part of keeping your beast happy. We know the deal. Considering the buzz Dodge has generated in recent years by mining its past with models like the Challenger and Charger, the return of the Dart name is no shock. (We’re hoping Polara is next.) It will serve duty on the automaker’s newest compact model. Ensuring that the modern Dart’s Dodge-ness remains fully intact are recent key exterior-design elements—full-width taillamps, a chunky mini “flying buttress” C-pillar, and a split-crosshair grille.
But the Dart will need more than an old name and a familial resemblance to make its mark: While Chrysler was biding its time in killing off this car’s predecessor, the awful Dodge Caliber, a bevy of refined competitors like the Chevrolet Cruze and the multiple-comparo-winning Ford Focus have launched and raised expectations for the compact-car class.
The first Chrysler vehicle to be based on Fiat Group architecture, the front-wheel-drive Dart utilizes lengthened and widened Alfa Romeo Giulietta underpinnings; they’re referred to internally as the “Compact U.S. Wide (CUS-Wide)” platform. The proper ’Merican-sized architecture features MacPherson struts up front (specifically tuned, Dodge says, to minimize camber loss for more responsive steering) and an independent suspension in the rear. Both front and rear suspension cradles are of a high-pressure, die-cast aluminum construction. The Dart, which is to be offered only as a sedan, rides on a 106.4-inch wheelbase and is 183.9 inches long and 72.0 inches wide.

2012 Ram 1500Laramie Limited. Ram Truck will expand its model by the featuring of the brand new 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Limited. The new truck includes vast variety of premium materials like full-leather seating, piano-black interior components and under-stated exterior badging.
This is how the brand new Ram Laramie Limited will offer its customers more luxury, in comparison for example to the Ram Laramie Longhorn edition pickup. The new vehicle will make its first appearance at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show on 8th of February.
But let’s look up more closely to the new Ram features. First of all, the exterior, as you can see the pictures below, is more then fascinating. The Ram 1500 Laramie Limited gets a body-color front fascia with fog lamps and a matching, painted rear bumper. In details, the customers of Ram Laramie Limited 2500 and 3500 models in white and silver exterior colors will get chrome front and rear bumpers. In addition there are billet inserts which are surrounding the chrome grille on Ram Sport models. Understated chrome accents include body-side molding, mirrors, door handles and tubular side steps. The body sides of the truck have clean look. However, there is a tailgate badging “Limited” on them. Moreover the Ram sits on 20-inch forged aluminum wheels. Polished surfaces are accented with painted silver pockets. In addition, heavy Duty models feature 17-inch fully polished aluminum wheels. Of course the wheel centers are being stamped with the Ram brand name. To conclude, the 1500 version is offered in six exterior colors: black, bright silver metallic, bright white, deep cherry red pearl, mineral gray metallic and true blue; and the Heavy Duty models are available in black, bright silver metallic, bright white and mineral gray metallic.

The 2012 Dodge Caliber ranks 40 out of 40 Affordable Small Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 94 published reviews and test drives of the Dodge Caliber, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2012 Dodge Caliber may be a decent commuter car, but test drivers agree that it’s overshadowed by rivals that offer better quality and performance at about the same price.
While the 2012 Dodge Caliber offers good cargo space, reviewers agree that it falls short of its utilitarian aspirations. “The 2012 Dodge Caliber starts with a unique proposition, which is that a small sedan can be more like a practical utility vehicle and less like a bland transportation module,” writes Edmunds. “It’s a good idea, but the Caliber doesn’t execute the concept well enough to match up against the competition in this crowded segment of small cars.”
The problems start under the hood. The Caliber’s engine is underpowered and noisy, a problem that’s exacerbated by an optional continuously variable transmission (CVT) that reviewers don’t like. Additionally, the Caliber is heavy for a small car, which makes for lackluster handling when combined with its high center of gravity.
Test drivers also say that its styling is getting dated. Although the Caliber’s interior was updated last year, its quality still trails similarly-priced rivals. And while its unique exterior design may make it easy to find in a crowded parking lot, fresh sheet metal would help the Caliber’s visual appeal. Since so many affordable small cars offer more features and better quality for the same price, critics find it hard to recommend the 2012 Dodge Caliber. Dodge car covers

Dodge Dart 2013 at Detroit Auto Show. For all of Chrysler’s reinvigoration in a rebound 2011, Dodge brand CEO Reid Bigland noticed one glaring omission.
“If you take a look at our accomplishments last year, we managed to do it while lagging in one key area,” Bigland said Monday on stage at the 2012 North American International Auto Show here in Detroit.
“The compact car segment.”
Enter the Dodge Dart, another reinvigoration — this one of a temporarily successful model that was first produced from 1960-1976. Dodge unveiled its long-awaited entry into the compact car market Monday at the Detroit Auto Show, before hundreds of onlookers at the first press preview day of the show.
“We weren’t competing in this segment, so we wanted to create a world-class compact car,” Bigland said in prepared remarks. “And we approached this segment with a clean slate — no baggage.”

While others left the rear-drive full-size sedan segment, Dodge carried on an American tradition, defying trends by offering a big car that refused to be a boring car. All-new for 2011, Dodge reaffirmed its commitment, with a second generation of the modern Charger, with updated styling, a vastly improved interior and an all-new base V6 engine.
For those with a performance bent, however, there’s the R/T, with 370-hp of V8 thrust – a proper engine, for a proper rear-drive large car. Sure there’s the all-out SRT8 version as well, but it comes with a premium price that only the die-hard Mopar enthusiast could justify.
It may look like a somewhat of a mid-cycle facelift, but the changes help keep it modern with added flare up front thanks to a new crosshairs grille. The sides gain deep sculpted sections, which are mirrored on the hood, while the near rear end design is a throwback to the original.
CABIN IS MUCH IMPROVED WITH PLENTY OF HIGH-END FEATURES
Compared to the 2010 and earlier model the interior is a massive step forward. Our R/T Max test car had all the accoutrements of a true luxury sedan, but came up just short in some areas, like the quality of the leather. We can’t harp too hard, however, after all, even with a suite of goodies, it retails for $35,395 (base R/T models start at $30,395). 2012 Dodge Charger R/T
The R/T Max’s features list is lengthy starting with the 8.4-inch UConnect touch screen (standard on all R/T models) and goes on to include 12-way power front seats with 4-way power lumbar, heated and cooled cup holders, adaptive cruise control, navigation, a Forward Collision Warning System, Blind Spot Monitoring, rear park assist, a back-up Camera, LED cabin lighting, a power tilt and telescopic heated Dodge steering wheel, memory function, and a 506-watt nine-speaker audio system.

Chrysler has issued a recall affecting a small number of 2012 Dodge Journey and 2012 Fiat 500 models built between October 24 and 26 of this year.
These models – about 340 in total – are being recalled due to contaminated brake fluid that was put in during the vehicles’ assembly. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, these vehicles “may experience a degradation of the sealing components within the brake system.”
To solve the problem, Chrysler dealers will replace all of the vehicle’s components that come in contact with the hydraulic braking fluid. Of course, this service will be done free of charge, and the official safety recall is Related Gallery
